MAZER Bandana Knitting Pattern

The Mazer Bandana is a large bandana scarf made using a two colour basket rib stitch. Its perfect for wrapping up to keep warm in the colder weather!

The bandana is knitted bottom up in basket rib stitch. Starting from the bottom point, increases are worked at the beginning and end of the row whilst maintaining the pattern to increase the size of the bandana.

TECHNIQUES

Long-tail cast on, knit, purl, slip, yf, yb, k1f&b, cast off, carrying yarn

YARN RECOMMENDATIONS

Colour A - DK weight yarn. You will need approximately 300 metres / 125 grams

Colour B - Aran weight yarn. You will need approximately 160metres / 80 grams

Adjust yarn accordingly if you are making a bigger version.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES/HOOK

5mm/US 8 = knitting needles. We advise using circular needles with a minimum length of 80cm as the bandana becomes quite wide and is worked over a lot of stitches towards the end.

10cm/4” x 10cm/4” = 23 stitches x 40 rows
